Last Week: --------------------------- Buoyed by a visit from injured TE Kevin Everett, the Bills raced to a 14-0 lead before collapsing in the 4th quarter. The Giants returned 2 INTs for TDs and outscored the Bills 21-0 on the way to a 38-21 rout.
This Week: --------------------------- The 2007 season ends for the Bills in Philadelphia. The Bills will be looking to close out a season with a win for the first time since 2000. A win will even the Bills record at 8-8 on the season.
The Eagles enter the game playing some of their best ball of the season after a defensive victory over Dallas and an offensive explosion over New Orleans. Donovan McNabb finally looks healthy and Brian Westbrook is challenging for the NFL rushing lead.
Trent Edwards will be hoping for calm weather as the California boy has not fared well in the last 2 games in foul weather. Edwards should have some opportunities to do damage deep as the Eagles may be without their top 2 CBs.
Rumors: ---------------------------
Injuries: ---------------------------
Donte Whitner - Q
Josh Reed - Q
Position Analysis: --------------------------- QUARTERBACKS:
Edwards has not looked good over the past 2 wks. The Eagles bring a tough D with alot of blitz packages so Edwards will have a hard time getting comfortable. He may be able to hit a long one if Brian Dawkins and Lito Sheppard are not able to play.
185 yds 1 TDs, 1 INT
RUNNING BACKS:
Marshawn Lynch reached 1000 yards on the season with another solid game. Look for him to be right around his average of 70-80 yds rushing.
Lynch 75 yds
WIDE RECEIVERS:
Lee Evans found the end zone a short pass last week. Look for him to make it 2 games in a row.
Evans 65 yds, 1 TD
Parrish 35
TIGHT ENDS:
Michael Gaines scored again and added a 20 yd reception. With Edwards starting Gaines is always a threat to score - just not a reliable one.
Royal 2 receptions 25 yds
PLACE KICKER:
Lindell has been killed by the Bills offense the last couple wks. Don't expect that to change this week.
2 FGs 1 XPs
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS:
After being trampled by Jamal Lewis the previous week, the Bills did an even worse job against the Giants RBs giving up 291 yds. And now they face one of the league's top RBs. Not good.
Game:
These teams are heading in opposite directions over the past 2 wks. The Eagles are playing very good ball & I would look for them to close out the season strong.
Eagles 28-13

| Miami Dolphins |

Last Week: --------------------------- Was anyone surprised that the Patriots remained undefeated after last Sunday? I didn't think so. Once again, the Pats left the Dolphins off easy as they could have scored as much as they wanted but acted in the spirit of Christmas.
This Week: --------------------------- This disaster of a season mercifully comes to an end Sunday as the Bengals pay a visit. The last time they beat the Dolphins on the road was 1968, their first season in the league. They have as many problems as Miami has. Remember a few years ago when a lot of people thought they were back as one of the NFL's best? That was a hot one.
Rumors: --------------------------- Newsday reported during the week that Chad Pennington and Laveranues Coles might not be with the Jets next season. If that's the case, don't be surprised if Parcells puts them on his grocery list.
Injuries: --------------------------- CB Travis Daniels and DT Keith Traylor (ankle) as well as DE Jason Taylor (foot) didn't practice.
Position Analysis: --------------------------- QUARTERBACKS: Look for Lemon to have a pretty good day on Sunday. The Bengals have as much to play for as the Dolphins so a 200-yard game with a couple of TD passes isn't out of the question.
RUNNING BACKS: Jesse Chatman will have a TD and possibly 100 yards.
WIDE RECEIVERS: Booker and Camarillo. You never know.
TIGHT ENDS: Forget it.
PLACE KICKER: Jay Feely will get some chances. Look for at least 4 FG attempts and some PAT's.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS: Rudi Johnson has a bad hamstring so if he can't go, the Bengal running game won't give them much. Ted Ginn will get some chances on kickoffs and punt returns.
Happy New Year everyone. Thank you for your input and I look forward to next season. Once again, here are some memorable anniversaries to look back on.
12/29/84 -- Dan Marino wins his first playoff game as the Dolphins avenge their playoff loss to Seattle the year before with a 31-10 victory.
12/30/73 -- The Dolphins beat the Raiders at the Orange Bowl, 27-10, in the AFC Championship.
12/31/72 -- Because the league pre-determined who would have home-field advantage prior to the season, the Dolphins traveled to Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh for the AFC championship game. The Steelers took an early 7-0 lead, the Dolphins tied it and Coach Shula went with Bob Griese to start the second half. It payed off because the Fins scored twice to beat the Steelers 21-17. Nick Buoniconti sealed the victory with an interception with just over 2:00 remaining. In 1975, the NFL changed the rule, giving home-field advantage to teams with the best record.
12/31/94 -- For the first time since Super Bowl XIX 10 years before, Marino and Joe Montana meet in the postseason in a wildcard game at Joe Robbie Stadium. This time, Marino has the last laugh in a 27-17 victory over the Chiefs. It was Montana's last game. He retired two months later.
1/4/86 -- The Dolphins trailed the Browns, 21-3, at halftime but thanks to 2 TD passes by Marino and a three-yard rune by Ron Davenport with 1:57 left in the game, Miami won 24-21 to advance to the AFC championship. The Browns coach was Marty Schottenheimer.
1/5/91 -- This time, the Dolphins trailed the Chiefs, 16-3, in the fourth quarter but Marino once again threw 2 late TD passes for a 17-16 victory. The first 3 points came on a 58-yard field goal by Pete Stoyanovich and with just over a minute left, Chiefs kicker Nick Lowery missed from 52 yards to seal the win. The Chiefs coach was - Marty Schottenheimer.
1/5/96 -- After coahing the Dolphins for 26 seasons (and the Colts 7 before that), future Hall-of-Famer Don Shula announces his retirement. The Dolphins and the NFL have never been the same.

Last Week: --------------------------- Not much to report on this one. The Pats won as we knew they would. Moss and Brady are going for the records and will continue to do so.
This Week: --------------------------- So this is it! Will we see history made this weekend in New York as The Pats square off against The Giants? I think many of us are finished our fantasy year and I want to congratulate those of you who won this year! A special shout out to Joe! So for those of you who still have a game this week, lets break it down. The Giants will probably rest many of their starters heading into the post season. It is not the Giants responsibility to stop The Pats from going undefeated and they have their playoff place clinched. The Pats on the other hand have a few HUGE records to beat this weekend. Moss is about to pass Jerry Rice, Brady is about to pass Manning and The Pats as a team are about to pass the 72 Fins. Wow, what a team! It has been a treat to watch The Pats this year. We may have seen the best team that has ever been put together in sports history. In any sport for that matter. From the front office, to the coaching staff, to the defence to the offense to special teams, this team has been incredibly consistent and efficient. It will be a very long time until we see another team as well rounded and complete as the 07 Pats. That is, unless The Pats can continue to build on what they have now. And with Brady locked up for the next six years, Belichick locked up (we don't know for how much and for how long, go figure) and with Moss about to get an extension (I am sure), this is sure to be a great team again next year and for years to come.
Rumors: ---------------------------
Injuries: --------------------------- K. Brady TE Questionable Foot
B. Yates G Questionable Foot
S. Neal G Questionable Shoulder
B. Watson TE Questionable Ankle
T. Brady QB Probable Right shoulder
R. Harrison S Probable Thigh
Position Analysis: --------------------------- QUARTERBACKS: One more game, one more touch down to beat the single season record for touch down passes. WOW! HE will get it this game and maybe more. We may see Brady taken out of the game once The Pats have it locked up. I think The Giants will rest their starters, so look for Brady to be going against The Giants second stringers. We are about to see history my friends. This doesn't happen ever year, so enjoy it. I know I will.
RUNNING BACKS:don't use The Pats running game this week. I think The Pats will be looking to pass the receiving and passing TD records as well as rest up Lo Mo and the other backs for the playoffs.
b>
WIDE RECEIVERS:
Same deal as with Brady is Moss this week. One more TD to beat the record. They will go for it and they will get it. Look for them to try and find Moss at least twice in the red zone so not only can he tie the record but also beat the record. They will rest the other recievers I am sure for the playoffs.
b>
TIGHT ENDS: Big Ben is questionable for this game. He was at practice the other day, so he has a good chance of playing. Keep an eye on his status and use him if he is playing.b>
PLACE KICKER: Steve G will kick a ton of extra points in this one and maybe a Fg or two as The Pats should be able to move the ball down field easily. Watch the weather though. BR>
DEFENSE: Pats will be playing against second stringers, so use them. Although The Pats will be resting theirs, I expect huge production from The Pats D this Sunday.

| New York Jets |
By: Neil Berman Updated: 12/27/2007

Last Week: --------------------------- As could be expected in this season of disappointment, the Jets fell to the Titans in Nsahville 10-6 in a really ugly game. The Jets now sit at 3-12 and are poised to get a top 5 pick in April's NFL Draft. The Jets almost ended the Titans playoff hopes, but could not muster any offense in another woeful performance.
This Week: --------------------------- Herman Edwards returns to the Meadowlands to face his former team as two teams going nowhere will "play to win the game" in the season finale for both subpar AFC squads. The Chiefs have been plagued by injuries throughout the year as Larry Johnson has had a disappointing season and Kolby Smith has been a pleasant bright spot in his absence. Brodie Croyle is allegedly the QB of the future for the Chiefs, but has been fairly awful all year. PREDICTION: The Jets hurt their draft position with a 27-17 win for their 4th win of a miserable 2007 season.
Rumors: --------------------------- The Jets have a punting controversy as against the Titans the Jets activated and played rookie Jeremy Kapinos instead of the struggling Ben Graham.
Injuries: --------------------------- Kellen Clemens got battered against the Patriots a couple of weeks ago and has very limited with ribs and shoulder pain. I expect him to start against the Chiefs though.
Position Analysis: --------------------------- QUARTERBACKS:
With Kellen Clemens out against the Titans, it was Chad's time to shine (just kidding). Pennington had decent numbers (26 of 32 for 264 with 1 TD and 2 INT's), but amazingly the Jets only scored 6 points. Clemens will start on Sunday against the Chiefs and could put up decent numbers. PREDICTION: Clemens throws for 215 yards with 2 TD's and 1 INT.
RUNNING BACKS:
Thomas Jones had an awful game gaining only 58 yards on 21 carries. Leon Washington only got 1 carry for 5 yards and 2 catches for 2 yards. PREDICTION: Jones runs for 75 yards and a TD. Washington gains 20 yards on 7 carries, and catches 3 balls for 20 yards.
WIDE RECEIVERS:
Jerricho Cotchery was impressive again snaring 8 balls for 152 yards and the Jets only points of the day. I expect another big game from him against Kansas City. PREDICTION: Cotchery grabs 8 balls for 120 yards and a TD, and Smith gains 30 yards on 3 catches and runs for 37 yards on 7 carries.
TIGHT ENDS:
Chris Baker had one of his better games catching 4 balls for 40 yards. He should only be used if you are really struggling at that position. PREDICTION: Baker catches 3 balls for 17 yards and a TD.
PLACE KICKER:
Mike Nugent missed his only FG and his only PAT attempt against the Titans. He should bounce back with a good game against the Chiefs.
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS:
The Jets defense is going up against the fairly lowly Chiefs. Kansas City is very prone to turning the pigskin over. Leon Washington's returns have been one of the bright spots of this bleak season, and he may end the season with a return TD in the finale.
