When preparing for your fantasy draft it is vital to be fully prepared. Since 1994 we have provided the Pre-Season Report with performance and basic rankings and two years ago we provided our first Excel-based rankings.
The world has changed and Fantasy Insights is proud to offer you an exquisite draft tool. Obviously, the rankings of the best players to draft sequentially will change among various league scoring systems. The Custom Draft & Auction Tool allows you to input your league's individual scoring system essentials into our computer formulas and generate customized draft rankings of players for your success in your draft. The tool isn't perfect, because we cannot forecast reasonably two point conversions, tie games, devastating injuries or lightning strikes. But, for the purposes of this tool, we consider all reasonable scoring for fantasy football without a lot of confusing encumbrances to provide for trivial events.
The Custom Draft & Auction Tool is available in two formats: Web version and Excel. For those of you who have Excel, we encourage you to use this version so you can use the tool at any time. For those who do not have Excel, you'll just go to a predetermined web page, enter your league's scoring system and generate your draft rankings in less than five minutes! Yes, it is that simple!
Those playing in the majority of leagues, including Auction leagues, can use the tool. There is an auction feature that allows you to enter a salary cap and a minimum bid per player. Rankings then are generated simply with the click of the mouse.

There are four easy steps that take less than five minutes to generate your custom rankings. They are:
- Input the number of teams in the league and choose an overall ranking method.
- Input the number of starters, backups and scoring system for each position.
- Enable auction feature and input auction league variables. This step is optional.
- Click the macro button to create your custom player rankings

There is also the functionality that the Custom Draft & Auction Tool can be updated from within Excel. When you open the program, it will check our website for an update. If there is an update, you will be notified that you can download and install it. Keep in mind that we release updates every Wednesday morning.
